Broadway in the Nineteenth Century
View of Broadway looking south from Cortland Street, with Trinity Church in the distance. Although the title of the illustration indicates the year 1834, the Church's neo-Gothic temple, as shown, was only ready in the 1846. The City Hotel was expanded to five-story high in 1833.
