Photograph shows skyscrapers of the old New York City around Lower Broadway, Wall Street and Broad Street. The Battery Park is in the foreground. The Standard Oil Tower, at 26 Broadway, was completed that year, 1924. The East River and part of the Brooklyn Bridge are to the right.

Two tracks come from the combined Second and Third Avenue lines, and two from the Sixth and Ninth Avenue lines, making four tracks at the South Ferry terminal to the right.
