Several skyscrapers in Midtown Manhattan are shown in this photograph, including the Art Deco Chrysler Building at Lexington Avenue. The Empire State Building is situated on the west side of Fifth Avenue, between West 33rd and 34th streets. Part of the site was occupied by the old Waldorf–Astoria Hotel.
