Old Bryant Building, 55 Liberty Street

 

Entrance to the Old Bryant Building, 55 Liberty Street, New York City, undated (ca. 1882-1909). This seven-story building stood between Nassau Street and Liberty Place and the headquarters of The Evening Post until 1875. William Cullen Bryant was the Post's editor and former owner of the building. It was razed in 1909 to make way for the Liberty Tower, completed in 1910.
