Buildings on Broadway, between Reade St. and Duane St. - 1910
Buildings on the east side of Broadway, between Reade Street and Duane Street. The 14-story Vincent Building, at 302 Broadway, is at the southeast corner of Duane St, on the left. It was built in 1899 by the Astor Estate, designed in a Romanesque revival style. It was acquired by the Fordham University in 1943. The site is occupied today by the Ted Weiss Federal Office Building, completed in 1994.
Photograph published in 1910 in the book Both Sides of Broadway from Bowling Green to Central Park. Original title: 290 to 304 Broadway, between Reade and Duane Streets. Occupants of the ground floor are: Offices of Grand Trunk Railway System - United Cigar Store - Barron's Café - Monarch Typewriter - and Schoveling, Daly & Gales, Sporting Goods. The Dun Building is at the corner of Reade Street [completed in 1898 and demolished in 1969].
