Broadway from the Empire Building, north past Trinity Church Steeple - 1903

Vintage photo of Lower Broadway from the Empire Building, north past Trinity Church Steeple (left). The American Surety Building, completed in 1896, on the southeast corner of Pine Street, is on the right. This part of Broadway changed a lot in the following decade. Publisher: H.C. White Co. (originally stereograph). Source: Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division.

The Old Trinity Building, on the left, is announcing in a sign a new building to be erected. It was emptied on April 30, 1903 and razed in the early 1904. The new Trinity Building was completed on the site in 1906.
