Photograph shows a cityscape with the New York Public Library on 42nd St. and west side 5th Ave. Small part of Central Park is shown in the upper left corner of the photo. Photograph shows bidirectional car traffic on Fifth Avenue. That changed in 1966, when the section below 135th Street was changed to carry only one-way traffic southbound, and Madison Avenue was changed to one-way northbound.
