N.Y. Times Building, Times Square - 1952

View of Times Square, looking north from Broadway at West 42nd Street. The Times Building, in the foreground, was completed in 1904. The 33-story Paramount Building, with a clock tower, at 1501 Broadway, was completed in 1927 and is the tallest building seen in the area. Hotel Claridge, former Hotel Rector (erected in 1910), is on the right. Large signs for Kleenex (tissues) and Chevrolet are visible. The Roof Astor is in the center of the photo.
