Vanderbilt Mansion, Fifth Avenue between 1893 and 1904
Photo shows Vanderbilt Mansion as the main subject on Fifth Avenue (looking south), between 57th St. and 58th Street. The original Cornelius Vanderbilt II mansion was built in 1883 and expanded in 1893. The old Plaza (later Grand Army Plaza) is on the right.
