Lower Broadway, Manhattan - 1916

Lower Broadway, looking north from Exchange Alley, near Wall Street and Trinity Church (on the left), New York City. Photo taken about 1916, when the old American Express Building (63 to 65 Broadway) was demolished (we can see some demolition structures in front of the site). The 32-story Adams Express Building (61 Broadway), completed in 1914, is on the left. Singer Building and Woolworth Building are seen to the north on Broadway.
